To use a sports analysis where I am off the pace - running down the clock and then going for the score to just edge past the opponent requires confidence in the team's ability to move when the timing is right and ripe.

Back to the business thinking - what are you doing? Self drive cars? Barriers to entry means not many are getting in on this. As you write, there are knock-on effects from self drive cars. I am sure a few legal eagles have already put together class action movements in different jurisdictions to pick up on one element of the fall out from self drives.
