Nice piece - never too old to continue refreshing MBA learning Katrine

Perhaps next is to contextualise an interruption - in (yet another) meeting? At your open plan work station? You in a closed door session (working alone or with another person) with someone coming in?

The protocols for interruption, or should we also talk intervening and seeking to add value?, have evolved with online meetings - Particularly when some are busy doing other things when supposedly in the meeting.

An anecdote: I hired a gentleman 30 years ago because he interrupted. Translating for a Regional Governor in the dark days of Operation Restore Hope Somalia, the young gent quietly, gently, touched the older, far hierarchal senior's arm. He then interpreted what the Governor was saying - Save embarrassment and made the session far more focused. His thoughtful intervention showed his thinking and I approached him, asked whether he was working for the Governor. No was his answer and 30 years later we still communicate to interrupt and add value to each other
