Most definitely - training tools to work and take out the human bias.

Do we live in meritocracies? Sadly not the case as governments have continued to talk equality of opportunity but tend to do what is politically expedient.

Look at the psychology of hiring and how people tend to look at people like themselves. The networking and schools attended assist in making people look at themselves when interviewing others.

As a Brit who has spent half a lifetime being in different cultural settings, how do we take the positives you have highlighted to offer up opportunity countering the human traits of seeking comfort in work and social settings that is now coming through to bite us with ingrained popularism largely built on weak and jaundiced interpretation of data if not downright lies ignoring data?
