Jumanne, thought provoking and, trusting, action causing article.

I would go further than seeking solutions - although import substitution is the basis for us to take control of the different markets across the continent.

The furthering is in defining and working to create socially rewarding enetrprises where there is opportunity.

2 examples

Presently we are being told the Ukrainian war is going to cause food shortages. the opportunity is for us to change the market dynamics. Not just import substitution but developing green and circular economies where we change the finance flows.

Second one stems from how we are taking on franchised approaches rather than looking at locally (define given the nature of our political, social as well as economic spheres of influence) controlled platforms. Rwanda is clearly seeking to change the dynamic and the opportunities, negative as well as positive, are apparent.
