Get out of the gym whenever you can - enjoy working out in the park (if urban) or get out with others in the countryside.
I listened to a friend, a fitness instructor and gym owner. I asked him advice on shoes. He said why bother? Just walk out on to your patio with a decent mat and WORK OUT! Don't bother getting stuck in traffic and having to get past packing bags - Get out and get into the habits.
"Come see me (the gym owner) once in a while just to make sure doing the exercises right." Here was a professional who knew better to sell impact than just another gym membership that would not be renewed if traffic got the better of a person.
