Democratically elected - we continue to talk about democratic in terms of elections fully 70 years later where the underpinning elements continue to be apparent. Elections are but one facet of democracy particularly when questions of plebiscite and the free will, ie accessibility of data and information to make informed choice, are not always so apparent.
Agree, the process toward accountability and responsibility within a democratic society needs the steps. The but comes now. But, noting how easy the vested interests rolled back the vote reflects the weakness in institutions and the issues of embedded responsibility with open accountability for those in positions of power.
Perhaps the next book for any of us to write is one on how democracy has not updated regarding voting and the ability to chose what any of us vote for?
