An example of tonality - Our daughter, when challenged on how she described where she belonged explained about her name, upbringing and heritiage. When challenged in her class by someone that her Mum was 'black' her Dad 'white' she elucidated - Mum is coffee coloured, when you put milk in the cup but struggling with eczema so too red at the moment. Dad is pink and goes red when he runs. I am almond complexion. I don't think we start from complexion to decide how we relate to each other.
